Completed in June 2026, TCA led a pedestrian-focused infrastructure improvement along Westwood Center Drive to address immediate safety concerns and strengthen walkability in Tysons. The improvement sits at the intersection of Westwood Center Drive and Cornerside Boulevard, a location that serves as a key connection point between homes, businesses, and transit options, and is experiencing rapid growth and development.

In May 2026, hundreds of residents, workers, and visitors participated in the Tysons Trek & Treat Spring Challenge. Led by TCA and powered by the ConnectingVA app, the four-week challenge encouraged participants to replace car trips with walking, biking, transit, and other sustainable transportation options.

The award-winning 2025 Tysons Trek & Treat Fall Challenge invited community members of all ages to walk, bike, and roll along Tysons’ growing network of pedestrian- and bike-friendly routes while earning points for prizes. Participants logged more than 1,600 trips and over 4,000 miles, demonstrating how small transportation choices can make a meaningful impact.
