Published by TCA in December 2023, Connecting Tysons: A Collective Strategic Plan outlines a comprehensive vision for Tysons’ growth, focusing on five core themes including cultivating and promoting identity, energizing place, building connections and enhancing mobility, building livable and inclusive communities, and fostering a vital local economy.
As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, TCA produces an annual report for each fiscal year, showing the successes achieved by our various departments and the organization’s overall financial health. The document also provides a look at our goals and objectives for the coming fiscal year. Each report is released at an annual meeting, a public gathering where you can get insights from, and meet, TCA staff, board, and business members.
The Tysons Comprehensive Plan was designed to take advantage of the four new Metro stations coming to Tysons in 2014. The Plan is to transform Tysons, by the year 2050, into a walkable, green urban center and home to up to 100,000 residents and 200,000 jobs. Tysons is envisioned as Fairfax County’s “downtown,” or a 24-hour urban center where people live, work and play. Three-quarters of future growth will be within a half-mile of the stations. Many offices and homes will be a 3 – 6-minute walk from the stations, allowing people to get around on foot, bicycle, bus, or subway.
The Tysons DataHub is a comprehensive online platform designed to provide users with a holistic understanding of the area’s market conditions. Commissioned by TCA and conducted by HR&A, Toole Design, and Wells & Associates, the Tysons Market Study examines the area’s post-pandemic recovery and transition into a vibrant urban community. The study provides an in-depth analysis of economic and market conditions across the residential, office, hospitality, retail, and transportation sectors. This analysis informs TCA’s ongoing strategic planning process, which involves collaboration with stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, as well as residents and business owners, to shape the future of Tysons’ office market, hospitality, mobility, and housing.
