TYSONS, VA (May 20, 2026) – COPA Tysons is back— and this summer, Tysons is bringing the world’s game to the heart of Fairfax County.

Beginning in June 2026, the Tysons Community Alliance (TCA), in partnership with local stakeholders and venue partners, will host COPA Tysons — a series of free public FIFA World Cup 2026™ watch parties and fan experiences at Starr Hill Biergarten at Capital One Center.

The series will begin with screenings of U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) matches and include celebrations tied to America’s 250th anniversary in partnership with Visit Fairfax and Fairfax 250. Free pre-game festivities — hosted by legendary “It’s in the Net” broadcaster Dave Johnson and Bruce Murray, U.S. Soccer Hall of Famer and former all-time leading scorer for the USMNT — will be open to the general public (registration requested).

“Few places in the Washington region reflect the international spirit of the FIFA World Cup quite like Tysons, a cosmopolitan city and one of the most culturally diverse communities in the area,” said Drew Sunderland, Interim CEO of TCA. “This summer, COPA Tysons will bring fans from across the DMV together at Starr Hill Biergarten and additional Tysons’ premier gathering spaces — to experience the excitement, passion, and communal energy that make the World Cup unlike any other sporting event in the world.”

As the world’s most-watched sporting event, the FIFA World Cup draws billions of viewers and brings communities together through a shared passion for soccer. COPA Tysons will extend that experience locally through free public watch parties and fan experiences featuring:

  • Large-scale outdoor and indoor viewing experiences with high-quality broadcasts
  • Live DJs and entertainment before and after select matches
