Tysons Community Alliance and 1st Stage are thrilled to announce that Storytime Brought to Life is returning for its second season. The interactive reading experience was piloted last spring and was a resounding success, with over 90 children and parents participating over the course of three weeks.
The new season will launch on August 10 and take place one Saturday a month from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. in the theatre at 1st Stage. The first four dates and books include:
- Aug 10 – Miss Tizzy by Libba Moore Gray and Illustrated by Jada Rowland
- Sep 14 – The One Day House by Julia Durango and Illustrated by Bianca Diaz
- Oct 19 – Everyone Belongs by Heather Avis and Illustrated by Sarah Mensinga
- Nov 16 – We Are Grateful by Traci Sorell and Illustrated by Frané Lessac
In addition to reading along with a trained learning and engagement facilitator, children will have the opportunity to engage in a fun interactive activity that corresponds with the book. Each child will also receive a snack, copy of the book, and a group photo with the facilitator. The event is free and open to all children ages four through eight and their parents. Space is limited, so registration is appreciated.
