Getting around Tysons by bike is better than ever!

Start the season with two exciting events designed for riders of all ages and abilities.

Tysons Pedal with Petals

Saturday, May 10, 2025

8:00 am – 12:00 pm

– Registration opens at 8:00 am day of event
– Guided Intermediate Ride Starts at 9:00 am
– Guided Beginner/Family Ride Starts at 9:30 am
– NOTE: This event is rain-or-shine

Start and Finish at Westbriar Elementary School (1741 Pine Valley Drive, Vienna, VA 22182)

Ride into spring in Tysons during Pedal with Petals 2025 and Explore Tysons at your own pace. Suitable for all skill levels, the day promises Bike Fun for Everyone! Choose the shorter, family-friendly ride (2 miles) or the longer on-road route (9 miles). Bike or roll on your preferred set of wheels—and remember to bring your helmet and safety gear! Stick around afterwards for a festival with fun for the whole family! Join the celebration after your ride by participating in bike-related arts, crafts and games. We will have vendors, food, music, and lots more.

We’re celebrating Bike to Work Day (BTWD) in Tysons! Biking to work is an invigorating way to start the work day, so get your daily dose of activity in the morning and shed your work stress on your way home. The Washington, D.C. region has moved the celebration to Thursday this year. Join a Commuter Convoy, bike alone or make plans to ride in with a colleague. NOTE: This event is rain-or-shine.

This year, Tysons features two morning and one afternoon pitstops, including a NEW location at the Spring Hill Metro station!

Hosted by the Tysons Community Alliance at the east station entrance near the Kiss and Ride, this pitstop will have fun giveaways, snacks, and more!

Make the most of BTWD this year! Every Tysons pitstop offers unique snacks, sponsors, and surprises. Visit two or more Tysons pitstops and earn a $10 Tysons Community Card (for use at participating Tysons shops and restaurants).

How It Works:

  • Chat with TCA staff at each pitstop to get that location’s secret phrase.
  • After visiting 2+ pitstops, fill out a quick form with your info and secret phrases.
  • Receive a $10 Tysons Community Card via email for use at participating shops and restaurants in Tysons.
