How to Get Here

Tysons is a Transportation Hub

The Tysons community is connected to every part of the Greater Washington region and the surrounding area by numerous modes of transportation. Four Metrorail stations with 16 entrances, 18 bus lines, and three circulator bus routes (422, 423, 424) currently serve Tysons, making it easier than ever to commute by rail or bus.

More than a dozen Capital Bikeshare locations and a rapidly expanding bike-lane infrastructure allow for affordable, eco-friendly transportation options, while the 25,000 parking spaces and easy access to major streets in all directions allow for easy access by car. Residents, commuters, and visitors alike find the variety of transportation options ideal whenever they frequent the area.

As an advocate for the transformation of Tysons into a vibrant, urban destination, TCA facilitates collaboration between transit providers and public and private stakeholders, ensuring Tysons’s vital transit systems are top of mind for moving people in and around the community to access jobs, homes, and entertainment.

It’s never been easier to get to Tysons, especially on the metro. In fact, most of Tysons is within a half-mile of a Silver Line station. That’s only a 15-minute walk!

Tysons is home to four Silver Line stations: McLean, Tysons, Greensboro, and Spring Hill, which provide transfer-free rides to downtown DC and on to Maryland. The Silver Line connects Tysons to Virginia’s Fairfax and Arlington Counties, Maryland’s Prince George’s County, and the District of Columbia.

The Silver Line shares all stations between (and including) East Falls Church Station and Stadium-Armory Station with the Orange Line and between Rosslyn Station and Largo Town Center Station with the Blue Line. In addition, the Blue Line intersects with Metro Center Station (Red Line) and L’Enfant Station (Green Line).
