Mini Pitch Program

The TCA is excited to announce a collaborative effort with the U.S. Soccer Foundation and VIKA to install the mini-pitch soccer field at 1616 Anderson Road. This new location is conveniently situated just a five-minute walk from the McLean Metro Station, and hundreds of residential units in every direction, making it easily accessible for the community.

The mini-pitch, measuring 50 by 104 feet, features a customized hard court surface designed to withstand heavy use while providing an optimal playing experience. This facility is envisioned as a vibrant community hub, offering ample opportunities for residents to engage in soccer and other physical activities. By promoting an active lifestyle, the mini-pitch aims to foster a sense of community and well-being among Tysons residents. It also serves to temporarily activate a planned development site until that site moves forward.

This mini-pitch is one of the first recreational spaces planned by the TCA for the Tysons district. It represents a significant step towards creating small scale, pickup-style, accessible areas where people of all ages can come together to play, exercise, and enjoy the outdoors.
