Vice President of Strategy & Research
As Vice President of Strategy and Research at Tysons Community Alliance, Drew Sunderland oversees Research and Business Support as well as Branding and Marketing Programs, leveraging data to drive informed decision-making and shape Tysons’ evolving identity. Through TCA’s research initiatives, his team analyzes market conditions and trends, providing valuable insights and market intelligence that support businesses, policymakers, and stakeholders in their efforts to navigate and contribute to Tysons’ growth.
Prior to his role at TCA, Drew spent over eight years at Tysons Partnership, serving as Deputy Director and Director of Communications, where he played a key role in advancing placemaking efforts, strategic communications, branding, and partnerships that contribute to Tysons’ growth and vibrancy. His career spans public media, civic engagement, and strategic communications, including roles at National Public Radio (NPR), the Corporation for Public Broadcasting, and the United Nations Information Center.
He holds a degree in Communications with a focus on Media Studies and Public Relations from American University.
