Cherry Blossom Tree Planting with TCA

Join members of Tysons Community Alliance and the community on Saturday, May 6th, as we spruce up Tysons with the planting of cherry blossom trees. There will be trees planted at two locations: Scotts Run and Tysons Corner Center. The plantings will take place in shifts, with the morning shift starting at 8 AM at Scotts Run and the second shift occurring at 11 AM at the Tysons Corner Center side of the newly built I-495 pedestrian bridge. An official ceremony celebrating the installation of the trees will take place at 9 am at the Scotts Run site. Each volunteer will need to be present at their shift location prior to the start of the plantings. This is to allow time for a 15-minute training session on how to properly plant the trees. Volunteers will have the opportunity to select one or both shifts. Below, are the times for each shift.

Shift 1:

Location: Scotts Run, 1651 Old Meadow Rd, Tysons, VA, 22102

Volunteer Arrival Time: 7:30 am

Training Session: 7:45 am

Shift 2:

Location: I-495 Pedestrian Bridge (Tysons Corner Center side)
